Ertekterv Engineering Services & Consultancy Ltd. was founded in 2014 to provide professional solutions based on our core values in the areas of urban planning and transportation engineering. We believe that a human-centered approach is essential throughout any analysis and planning process to successfully implement infrastructure development projects.

Our goal is to actively contribute to the development of liveable and safe environment and promote sustainable development through our activities. Therefore, we pay special attention on projects related with cycling infrastructure and traffic safety. These projects constitute a significant part of the company’s work.

Our Team

Zsolt Barna, certified civil engineer, managing director & founder

Zsolt has been working at Ertekterv Engineering Services & Consultancy Ltd since 2014 as the managing director. Prior to Ertekterv Ltd, he had been involved in evaluating and granting funding for transportation related EU projects for seven years, while he was also working as a lecturer and researcher at the Department of Highway and Railway Engineering at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME). Currently, he is actively involved in the process of improving the Hungarian national road and traffic regulations and elaborating the Standard Highway Specifications at the Hungarian Road and Rail Society (MAÚT). Zsolt is strongly committed to implement human-centric and safe environment as well as to promote sustainable development.

László Farkas, certified urban engineer, managing director & founder

László has been working at Ertekterv Ltd. since 2014 as managing director. He has 15 years of experience on the field of engineering, primarily related to design and construction. In addition, he has several years of experience in evaluating and granting funding for European Union projects.

Máté Sebők, certified expert in human ecology, international relations MSc, project manager

Máté attained his master degree in Taiwan, at the National Taiwan University. During his studies he was primarily focusing on sustainable urban transportation and the integration of the various urban transportation modes. Previously, he attained his MSc degree in the field of international relations at the National Chengchi University in Taiwan. He speaks English on an advanced level and Chinese on upper intermediate level.
